DIY Test for Tight Hip Flexors and Low Back Pain
Feb 2nd
Tight hip flexors are a major underlying cause of low back and sciatic pain that commonly gets overlooked. The primary reason for chronic and acute low back pain is too much sitting.
Whether you sit at a desk, car, plane or recliner...all that sitting shortens your hip flexors, which attach to the front of your spine. It is these muscles, the psoas is your primary hip flexor, that attach to the front of your spine, as the photo shows. They attach to the discs and vertebrae’s and stabilize your low back from the front side.

DIY Home Health Tests
Oct 5th
Here are three easy-to-do home health tests that will help you address the cause of your health ailment. I usually do these at the beginning of a consultation, if it’s over the phone, I encourage them to do them as well.
The tests are fairly inexpensive and provide great information
- Acidity – to address acid/alkaline balance, osteoporosis, toxicity and overall health
- Iodine Status – accesses thyroid, metabolism, fatigue and weight gain
- Zinc Status – adrenal exhaustion, testosterone, libido, hormones, immune function and lean muscle
Measuring acidity provides insight into acid alkaline balance. A healthy person should be a bit on the alkaline side. Unhealthy people, those struggling osteoporosis, More >

The fact that people are living longer may not be so good for people struggling with diabetes. The sad fact is that people are living longer with the struggles and headaches of diabetes, according to a new study out of Diabetes Care.
The real sad fact is that diabetes is one of those few ailments that can easily be eliminated if we make some changes. Traditional medicine is still under the belief that diabetes is of unknown cause, but anyone who practices natural, holistic medicine recognizes that diabetes is a result of the wrong foods, not getting enough exercise, and stress.

Crunches or Leg Raises?
Sep 15th
The other day I wrote about why you should stay away from leg raises and how it can lead to back pain. I want to show you a simple way to check and see if leg raises or crunches work better for you.
In my other post, I said that a muscle attaches at two endpoints and when the two endpoints move closer together you get muscle contraction. If the two endpoints don’t move closer together – it’s a tip that that muscle isn’t being exercised.
You can do this simple test at home to see if your abs are involved in leg More >
